Hamilton Park Farmers Market
This year's Farmers Market will begin Wednesday, June 4 and run through the fall. Farmer Len from Upper Meadows Farm in Montague, NJ will have a large variety of beef, berries, eggs, flowers, herbs, pork, poultry, vegetables, heritage apple and pear varieties, and heirloom tomatoes. Upper Meadows Farm has fully integrated certified organic pasture raised livestock and more than 100 varieties of vegetables and flowers.

This year, the anchor farmer will provide both conventional and organic produce. Hoboken Farm Boy will offer fresh mozzarella, artisan breads, homemade ravioli, crab cakes, stuffed salmon, and various steak and chicken preparations. As a new addition, we have "Made with love", an organic baker of cookies and breads. We will also have two additional vendors: one selling pickles, cured olives, and Turkish coffees; the other selling fresh basil pesto, marinara sauce, red pepper jelly, bean and beef chili, soups, hummus spreads, cheese spreads, organic chips, and a variety of cheeses.

Join us for the premier screening of Historian and story-teller Bob Leach's new documentary "Invasion of the Reds, Mayor Hague's War against Radicals and Free Speech." The forty-five minute film contains vintage newsreel footage and archival stills narrated by Bob Leach. Documentary photographer and long-time Jersey City resident Leon Yost will introduce the film and field questions at its conclusion.

The Attic Ensemble, Theater for a New Jersey City, presents "The Sisters Rosensweig," a comedy by Wendy Wasserstein, directed by Sherrie Ahlin. The play follows the reunion of three Jewish sisters who come together for a visit in Queen Anne's Gate, London, and the joys and struggles they share concerning romance, careers, childhood, and family--joys and struggles with which we all identify, not only as women but as human beings.

Jersey City Museum's 2008 Artrageous Ball
6:00 to 9:00 pm at The Harborside Atrium.
This year's ArtRageous Ball promises to be the most successful to date and features an all-new and festive Carnivale theme. The glitzy night will include games of chance, a tempting raffle, colorful performers, and an array of dazzling food and drink, including the official ArtRageous Ball cocktail of choice: the ART-tini. A silent art auction showcasing the works of renowned artists throughout the tri-state area will round out the evening.
Individual Patron tickets to the ArtRageous Ball are $350 and available, along with sponsorships, for purchase securely online. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase online closer to the date of the event.
All proceeds from the ArtRageous Ball benefit the Jersey City Museum's general operations, which assist in welcoming over 25,000 visitors each year, including the 11,000 children who attend arts education programs.
